Arcadia Swim for Kids is excited to offer Stroke Development classes this spring! Our new instructor, Gretchen Kellner, is thrilled to be here and teach your kids. Gretchen has worked for the City of Phoenix since 2019, where she has been teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding. Add to that her work as swim coach at Apollo High School, and you’ve got a young woman who knows how to take your child to the next level.
Gretchen is a lifelong competitive swimmer and has a wonderful way with kids. Your child’s lessons will be fun, individualized and you will see results. Classes will focus on technique of the 4 basic strokes ( freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke & butterfly ) while continuing to honor principles of safety and always back floating.
Throughout spring, classes will be limited to 2 students per 20 minutes class. In this semi-private environment, students will get individual coaching and practice time.
$25 per lesson, per student. Sibling discount, $20 second child.
Suggested frequency is 2x per week for younger/newer children and 1x - 2x for older/stronger. Classes are aimed at children 4-7( but not limited to ) who are competent ISR swimmers and are ready for the big leagues!
Classes will be at the Arcadia Swim for Kids location Thursdays - Saturdays April & May.
