After 20 years working in the golf industry, my heart told me it was time to make a change. So in August 2005, I embarked on the intensive ISR Instructor training. What a wonderfully amazing career change this has been. Being an ISR Instructor, teaching aquatic Self-Rescue™ skills to infants and toddlers is the most rewarding and fulfilling experience of my life.
Born in the North Shore of Chicago, I consider myself an Oregonian as we moved to the Portland, Oregon area when I was 10 years old. I am proud to be a University of Oregon graduate - GO DUCKS! Currently I serve as a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona. Previously I had the honor to be a member of the Board of Directors for Crisis Nursery and served as chairperson for the 2010 Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona's Blue Prints and Blue Jeans Fundraiser. My family consists of one very old cat named Jelly Bean, and five dogs; Gidget, Moondoggie, Lovey, Velma and Flipper. Bentley, the former mascot of Arcadia Swim for Kids, passed away in April 2020.
